Artist in Residence in Christmas Island
Across 2023 and 2024, we have had the upmost privilege of working with students and teachers at Christmas Island District High School. Due to their geographic isolation, the school and community don't often get to experience educational and arts-rich programs. Our initial visit was the dream of teacher Kathy Shortland-Jones who first connected with Bell Shakespeare in 2019. We were thrilled to have made this happen in 2023 and to have continued this relationship in 2024 with Jake Fryer-Hornsby and Kyle Morrison delivering the Artist in Residence.
