We are excited to announce the 2024 National Teacher Conference, is now a NESA Accredited PD course. Completing Bell Shakespeare National Teacher Conference will contribute 9 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and assessment of NSW Curriculum/Early Years Learning Framework addressing Standard Descriptors 1.1.2, 1.3.2, 3.3.2 & 3.5.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher in NSW.
Join us at Bell Shakespeare HQ, Pier 2/3, Walsh Bay, or join us live and online from the comfort of home for an enriching two days of learning about Shakespeare and the way we teach his plays.
Over two days you'll hear from a diverse range of speakers including Bell Shakespeare artists, academics, theatre practitioners and teachers as we discuss innovative approaches, new concepts, proven tips and tricks for classroom practice, and share stimulating ideas about Shakespeare. Our first lineup of speakers for the 2024 National Teacher Conference has been announced. Actor and writer Kate Mulvany OAM will deliver an inspiring keynote address, joined by author Andy Griffiths, actor and director Kyle Morrison, The University of Sydney's Professor Liam Semler and author and social commentator Jane Caro AM. More speakers to be announced soon, alongside the two-day schedule.
On Friday night, join us for a special soirée as we celebrate teaching, connection and Shakespeare against the spectacular backdrop of Sydney harbour.
It’s an opportunity for teachers to take a step away from the classroom and learn from top industry practitioners, while connecting and networking with Australian teachers of Shakespeare from diverse backgrounds.
Teachers may register for the in-person event which includes on-site lunch and refreshments at Bell Shakespeare HQ at Pier 2/3, or join us online and watch the live-streamed event.
Keynote speakers, sessions and schedule to be announced.
