PROFESSIONAL LEARNING FOR TEACHERS NATIONWIDE

Since 2007 Bell Shakespeare has engaged teachers from regional Australia in the Regional Teacher Mentorship, a four-day intensive professional learning program deigned to equip teachers with innovative Shakespeare strategies, active learning principles, and teaching techniques to engage all learners across all year levels. 2024 marks the first year that we have been able to open this program up to teachers from all over Australia, in metropolitan as well as regional schools. We are incredibly grateful to Teachers Mutual Bank, now in their 8th year as partner on this enlightening program, for making it possible to open this resource to even more teachers.

"You must apply. The National Teacher Mentorship will change your pedagogy in a way that no other professional development opportunity will ever do. It is such a practical mentorship which equates to genuine impact on classroom practice and confidence in teaching Shakespeare or any dramatic text!"

Lauren Adsett, Darwin High School NT

"I feel elated and inspired, ready to take my greater understanding and skills into the classroom with confidence. It truly was a week of nourishment and renewal, so I came away feeling refreshed and valued. My spirits were uplifted by the incredible Bell staff and the lovely colleagues with whom I shared the journey."

Jane Boyd, St Peter's Primary School NSW
